Calcite: Mineral composed of calcium carbonate (CaCO3), usually white or colorless, but can be found in several other colors, with hardness 3 on Mohs scale and specific gravity from 2.6 up to 2.8 g/cm3.

Main applications: adhesives, agribusiness, handicraft, rubber, ceramics, civil construction, cosmetics, household cleaners (domissanitary), filtration, foundry, geotherapy, materials for waterproofing, paper, pharmaceutical, oil, plastic, chemical, refractories, steel mills, paints, etc.
