Barite

Natural barium sulfate (BaSO4) is a mineral with a relatively high apparent compacted density (3.80 g/cm3 to 4.7g/cm3), available in white, cream, purple and gray colors.


Barite (natural barium sulphate) is an inert product in alkaline and acid media, in addition to being insoluble in water, widely used to increase paint coverage, control specific weights of polymeric masses, mortars, also improve the dispersion properties of certain types of pigments, has low oil absorption.
