Clay

Hydrated aluminum silicate, the most common are those from the kaolinite and montmorillonite group.

In nature, in addition to clay minerals, clays are generally associated with other materials and minerals, such as organic matter, soluble salts and particles of other minerals such as quartz, feldspar, carbonate and silicates. The clays have an excellent CEC (cation exchange capacity), plasticity, high surface area, excellent compaction and thixotropy, being the same used in the agribusiness, rubber, ceramics, household goods, oil, construction, paper, chemical, paint industries. and other segments, supplied in colors (cream, green and pink).
